Pathetic: Truck Cruches One To Death, Injures Two In Two Days To Xmas + Photos
Just in two days to Christmas Day, it was reported that a truck has crushed a middle-aged woman to death and injured two men in Apata, Ibadan at early hours of Sunday, 23rd of December, 2018.
It was gathered that, the ghastly incident involved a truck without a plate and a motorcycle.
According to an eyewitness who spoke with #ADITU, Mr Gbenga, as a result of the truck's brake that failed, the truck hit a motorcycle when it got to the pump at Apata Police Post.
Consequently, it killed a woman and injured two men who were riding on the motorcycle.
In the truck driver's attempt to stop the truck, he proceeded to Odo-Ona but he met a traffic jam there, and he therefore reversed the truck to hit a cabster truck, parked by the roadside before it eventually crashed at Olugbode area of Apata.
A survivor, identified as the motorcyclist, Mr Habeeb Aniyikaye, confirmed the incident, and while narrating his ordeal to #ADITU in anguish.
He said, they were three riding on the motorcycle, and they were before the truck without knowing that the truck had had a brake failure.
In a twinkle of an eye, they were hit from behind by the truck and subsequently, the woman sitting last on the motorcycle died instantly.
Information has it that, the two survivors has been reportedly taken to a nearby hospital whose name is unknown to #ADITU till the gathering of this report.
Meanwhile, the deceased's source have not been traced, for the truck crushed her beyond recognition.
According to a reliable Source, a huge amount of money was found in the dead woman's purse, which is suspected that the deceased was heading for Ogupa market to buy items for the forthcoming Christmas celebration.
However, the truck driver has been detained in the police custody for further investigation.
