Adebayo Adelabu won the Oyo APC Gubernatorial primary election after all aspirants bow out.

One of the All Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial aspirants, Chief Niyi Akintola, said he pulled out of the race against the wish of his immediate family members.

While announcing his withdrawal, the legal luminary said he withdrew because he felt cheated.

“I have not really benefited anything from my struggle.
“I am taking this decision against the wish of my immediate family. I have listened to the advice of our party leaders.”

His withdrawal thereby make Bayo Adelabu becomes the gubernatorial candidate of the ruling party.

Kutigi For Burial Today As Shonekan’s Family Denies Death Rumour

The family of the late Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Idris Kutigi, has announced his burial ceremony for today and tomorrow. Also, the family of the former head of the Interim National Government, Chief Earnest Shonekan, has debunked his rumoured death. A statement issued yesterday by Mrs Binta Aliyu, the family’s first child, said the body of the late jurist is scheduled to arrive in Abuja from London this morning, October 24, with the burial slated for 2pm at the Gudu Cemetery, Abuja, after the Janazah prayers at the National Mosque, Abuja. According to her, Fidau prayers will take place on Thursday at 10am at the residence of the late jurist in Asokoro, Abuja. “The Fidau prayers will also take place simultaneously at the Etsu Nupe’s Palace in Bida and in Kutigi, Niger State,” she added. Shocking: 20-year-old Docked For Alleged Sexual Intercourse With Goat

A 20-year-old man, identified as Promise Okon, appeared before an Egor Magistrates’ Court in Benin, Edo State last Thursday for alleged sexual intercourse with a she-goat. Okon, whose address was not provided, is facing a count-charge of having sexual intercourse against nature, but he pleaded not guilty. The Prosecutor, Osayomabo Omoruyi, told the court that the accused committed the offence on November 15 in Egor area of Benin. Omoruyi said the accused was caught having sexual intercourse with the goat by some neighbours, who arrested and took him to the police station. According to the prosecutor, the offence contravened Section 214 (2) of the Criminal Law of Edo State. The Chief Magistrate, Egho Braimah, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety in like sum.
