Tegbe, Babalola Owolabi, Olusola Ayandele now bow out of the APC gubernatorial primary race. As at present, Chief Bayo Adelabu and Chief Niyi Akintola remains in the race which therefore connotes, the game is now a 2-man race.

In the speech of , Babalola Owolabi and Olusola Ayandele they both hereby declared they step down for Chief Bayo Adelabu.

Three Burnt To Death In Kogi Motor Accident

The Federal Road Safety Corps said on Wednesday that three persons were burnt to death in an accident at the Total filling station area of Okene, Kogi State. Adelaja Ogungbemi, FRSC Unit Head in Okene, told newsmen that many people also sustained varying degrees of injuries and seven vehicles were completely burnt in the accident. He said that the accident, which happened at about 11:16pm on December 18, occurred when a fully loaded truck descending the slope lost its brake and in the process rammed into other vehicles. Ogunbgemi said the impact ignited a fire, which consumed the vehicles and their occupants. He said the timely intervention of his men and the support from people around prevented what could have resulted in a major disaster. According to him, the rescue efforts was hampered by the raging inferno as three trapped occupants were burnt to death. The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kola Oluwawole, has described his purported impeachment on Thursday as a rape on democracy and a descent to lowest level of lawlessness and illegality. According to a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Stephen Gbadamosi, Oluwawole said those who carried out the illegality were provided police cover and they prevented other members and even staff of the House from gaining entrance into the complex.
