Residents of Aba-Ebira in Oke-Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State has called on the local government authority, under the chairmanship of Mogaji Kola Ajadi and the state government for quick intervention to repair the ruinous Aba-Ebira/Baba-L'egba road, provision of boreholes and steady power.
They made the call while chatting with Ijoba-Ibile on Thursday, 1st of November, 2018.
According to a resident who spoke with our crew, Mrs Adetayo, the road has became worst as it is no longer motorable and walkable for people.
Despite this, government has forsake them to their plight.
She further stressed that, when there is hold-up, those vehicles approaching Eleyele from Sango would be incited to trail one-way road which often result to accidents.
"There was a time, a woman in labour was heading for Jericho hospital through this dilapidated road but later, she gave birth on her way for they took a long route as to elude the holes on this road." She said.
Also Speaking, Mr Adetunji, they have been calling on those authorities concerned for the reparation of the ruinous road since Lam Adesina's tenure.
Though, several renovations has been done on other roads in the area but only the Aba-Ebira/Baba-L'egba road is left messy.
With an excuse that, they delayed the reparation for many religious buildings would be demolished in the course.
However, they had contributed many times for the reparation of the road but the burden prove too much for them to bare alone.
Also, they want government to provide a new transformer as to aid steady power in the community.
