Collateral Damage: Suspected Gangsters Vandalises Properties Worth Millions Of Naira In Ibadan



Properties worth millions of naira has been reportedly vandalised in Ita-Ege, Ibadan by a suspected gang noted as Agbija boys from Omiyale on Wednesday, 14th of November, 2018.

Information has it that, the Ita-Ege boys had earlier had a clash with the Agbija boys in a party held at Omiyale last Sunday, thus, the Wednesday's incident was alleged a reprisal attack from the Agbija boys.
According to eyewitness account, Felicia Ahmed, the Agbija boys were moving in mass to Idi-Aro around 8pm, singing all sorts of morale songs with fierce weapons in their hands.

Though, no live was lost.
According to a resident who spoke with ADITU, Ridwan Adedokun, the Agbija boys had earlier warned the residents to stay indoor before 6pm on Tuesday, 13th of November, 2018.

Then, they returned at midnight to ransack goods from shops and eventually vandalised properties.
Also, a victim, Abdulakeem Yusuf, lamented that, he has lost his tricycle to the incident as it was set ablaze.

He further stressed that, the suspected gangsters vandalised from Kobomoje to Idi-Aro, breaking into shops and escaping with loots through their vehicles.

"Such incident has been happening before now but this is the most brutal." he noted.

The incident has been reported to the Idi-Aro Police Station by residents and the force came to take pictures of the scene.

However, the Chairman of the Local Government Area, Mr Abimbola Omiyale, alongside the operation burst of the state visited the locale.
