According to a resident of Apata who spoke with IJOBA-IBILE, identified as Gbenga Shotomide, presently, the Apata - Bembo road serves as death trap for the entire community and commuters.

He further stressed that, the roads was commissioned by the ex-Governor, Otunba Alao Akala's administration and it's dilapidated now.

Consequent upon this, residents endeavored to fill up the holes with stones for easy movement of automobiles.

Even they sent messages to their Chairman and had also visited the LG's secretariat on several occasions but to no avail.

Also, Gafar Akintola buttressed that, there is no good road nor a health care centre in the community.

Since last seven years, many promises has been made by those government officials who had inspected the area to do the needful.

Upon all, no change was made. It is promises upon promises.

Also Speaking, a resident of Gbekuba, Ayoade Omole, the bridge in Oladele had collapsed since 2011 and it has not be amend till date.

Though, a pesdestrian bridge worth N200,000 was commissioned there by the LandLord association of the area but automobiles have no route of crossing.

What was the Chairman's response to this?
